Which part of Japan were you born in & what do you like & miss about your hometown in Japan?

AS: I am from Yamanashi. I like seeing flowers and greens near my house, and I miss my dog.

Where is your current favourite hangout in Singapore?

Describe yourself in 3 words.

AS: Optimistic, peaceful, adaptable.

What are your favourite and least favourite local foods? / What local dishes have you tried or wish to try?

AS: I haven’t tried so many yet. At this point, my favourite one is Chicken rice and I don’t have any least favourite. I want to try Chili crab someday.

AS: I like collecting mugs from the places where I visited.

What will you recommend to people who are planning a visit to Tokyo/ Japan

AS: If you are interested in art, I will recommend you to visit art museums. There are many beautiful museums in Tokyo.

You must have experienced some culture shock when you first came to Singapore.
Tell us about them!

AS: Everyone can speak 2 or more languages. For me it’s very interesting to see this multicultural country!

What message would you like to leave to students who are currently learning the Japanese language?

AS: Learning a language is always very challenging, but please remind yourself why you started to learn. I am more than happy to help your study 😊
